Driven by artificial intelligence AI Arena fighting game has set a date for the launch of the NRN token, following a gameairdrop campaign this spring.
Earlier this year, AI Arena let 8,000 users play its unique brawler game, built on Ethereum’s layer-2 scaling network, Arbitrum, while it was in pre-release for a chance to earn potential token rewards, with a campaign built around social media influencers. Now, those rewards are just around the corner.
Those who participated will be able to claim their tokens at 7:00 UTC on Monday, June 24, with a centralized exchange listing arriving an hour later. At the time of writing this article, it has not yet been announced on which exchange(s) the token will be listed.
AI Arena is a cartoon-style brawling game similar to Nintendo’s Super Smash Bros. in which players control their characters using artificial intelligence (AI). This is the unique aspect of the game: instead of button mashing like other games in the fighting genre, you are the trainer of the fighter who aims to achieve victory through extensive AI-based training.

The final round of the “Gateway of the Arena” play-to-airdrop campaign concluded in March. This competition attempted to attract players by providing symbolic rewards for playing the pre-release game.
The 8,000 players who took part earned a score based on the performance of their AI fighters. Each player was also part of a team led by one of eight influencers, including the pseudonym Yellow Panther AND Wale. Depending on the team’s collective performance, players were rewarded with a potentially sizable airdrop multiplier.
The performance of you, your AI, and your team influenced the size of your pitch bag. Overall, AI Arena promises to airdrop 80 million NRN tokens, half from the play-to-airdrop drive and half tied to “NRN Boxes,” or reward boxes tied to community engagement.

In the future, AI Arena plans to launch a version that will require a NFTs access pass to play. This version of the game will serve as an elite testing ground for the highest-level players, as the developer sees significant esports potential around this unique AI-driven combat riff.
