The Marlin protocol provides users with MarlinVM. Developers can perform edge calculations and create custom overlays using the virtual router interface it offers. Speaking of overlays, developers can deploy low latency mempool synchronization or block multicast, anonymity or mesh networks, and so on. MarlinVM is managed by Marlin network nodes known as Metanodes.
In addition to POND tokens, there are also MPOND (or LIN) tokens. MPOND tokens must be staked by masternodes. For staking these tokens, masternodes receive POND tokens as a reward.
