What is Illuvium?

The Illuvium Token, or ILV, is the native token of the Illuvim platform. The latter represents blockchain based gaming project deployed on the Ethereum network.

RKN mainly serves control token. This means that it gives holders voting rights through Illuvium DAO, where they can elect members of the Illuvinate Council and vote on proposals. In addition, ILV owners can also submit their own Illuvium proposals, called “Illuvium Configuration Proposals” and “Illuvium Enhancement Proposals.”

Illuvium tokens were distributed as follows:

• 500,000 – pre-sowing;
• 1,500,000 – Seeds;
• 1,500,000 – Team;
• 1,500,000 – Treasury;
• 1,000,000 — Launchpad;
• 3,000,000 – High-yield farming;
• 1,000,000 — In-game rewards.

What are the main characteristics of illuvium?

Illuvium is AAA public game studio based on blockchain technologies. His first game IlluviumThis Game “Play to earn”This means that players can earn crypto rewards simply for playing. These crypto rewards come in the form of Illuvium tokens.

Illuvium is a combination auto battler and NFT collector as users have to capture Illuvials, train them, and then fight them. These Illuvials have the shape NFT and are sent to the player’s wallet upon successful capture.

There are 5 classes of Illuvials including Empath, Fighter, Guardian, Psion and Rogue. Each of these classes has its own affinity: Air, Earth, Fire, Nature or Water.

In addition to struggling with themselves, users can also betting about matches between other players.

Illuvium has a complex storyline that involves all players. They start out as colonists stranded on an unknown planet where they must uncover its secrets in order to survive.

The Illuvium ecosystem also consists of NFT Marketplace where users can buy, sell and trade their NFTs exclusively on Illuvium. It is called IlluviDex.

In addition, Illuvium provides its own crop growing platform where users can stake their tokens and receive ILV or sILV tokens in return. In total, Illuvium has allocated 3,000,000 ILV tokens for yield farming, which will be distributed to users over 3 years.

As mentioned in What is Illuvium section, the game is deployed on the Ethereum network. It was built on layer 2 solution called Immutable X, allowing for near-instant transactions and zero gas fees.

One of the main goals of the project is to become the first AAA game on Ethereum.

What is SILV?

SILV is synthetic token native of Illuvium. Users can receive sILV, by staking your ILV tokens.

This is important because of Illuvium’s unique farming reward system, which only allows users to withdraw their earnings after a year. By staking their ILV tokens, users receive sILV. no blocking period.

sILV serves medium of exchange inside the game. This means that users can use the token to purchase in-game items such as skins.

Illuvium vs Axi Infinity

Starting with the similarities, both projects have blockchain game based on collecting NFT creatures which can be sold on the open market. This is where their similarities end.

Illuvium is a 3D game with in-game lore, whereas Axi Infinity for now it is 2D without a storyline.

Most importantly, all NFTs on Illuvium are created by world-class artists, unlike Axies, which are generated from random attributes.

Illuvium has open world that players can explore at their own pace. It provides traditional gameplay with cryptographic elements. This means that players do not need to have any knowledge about the world of cryptocurrencies to participate.

Axie Infinity, on the other hand, requires some understanding of the crypto space.

Who developed Illuvium?

The Illuvium crypto project was launched at the end of 2020. Its co-founders are brothers Aaron Warwick and Kieran Warwick.

Aaron Warwick attended the University of Wollongong, where he studied computer engineering and physics. This is where his passion for game development began. Before co-founding Illuvium, he was a franchisee at Harvey Norman. Aaron is currently the lead game designer at Illuvium.

Kieran Warwick was actively involved in the world of cryptocurrencies before launching Illuvium. He worked as Director of Sales Marketing at Blueshyft. He later joined Burger Collective as chairman, where he signed a partnership with DoorDash. However, his interest in the crypto space has not waned. As DeFi grew, Kieran brought the idea to his brother Aaron, and the first concept for Illuvium was born.

Key project partners include venture capital funds such as IOSG Ventures, LD Capital and BlockSync, as well as private investors from large companies such as Synthetix, Aave, Sandbox and many others.
