Charles Hoskinson, founder of the Cardano blockchain, posted a tweet about the continued expansion of artificial intelligence. He launched a survey about AI and cryptocurrencies on his official X account.
However, the Cardano community was surprised by this idea and posted multiple responses to express their reaction.
“AI is b[l]separating reality from fantasy”
Cardano’s founder tweeted that the rapid and wide spread of artificial intelligence is “b[l]extracting reality from fantasy.” Therefore, Hoskinson launched a poll to ask his large community of followers on platform
The response options are the following: “yes” (voted by 19% of the participants), “super yes” (has received 16.1% of the votes so far), “yes, but Caddle Daddy” ( 29.2% of the votes) and finally “no”: 35.6% of those surveyed chose this option. In total, 3,554 X users have participated in this prank survey. The tweet has garnered 59,000 views so far.
First Spanish influencer on social networks generated by AI
Hoskinson added a link to his post X, which leads to a YouTube short about a social media influencer and an AI-generated model.
This girl created by AI has pink hair, supposedly earns $11,000 a month and is called Aitana López. Her Instagram account says that she is 25 years old and resides in Barcelona. She posts content to her Instagram profile every day and now has a fan base of 181,000 followers.
Aitana was created by a Spanish advertising agency using artificial intelligence and PhotoShop. Every week, a team of creators meet to discuss what photos Aitana will post and what new location she will travel to next. The aforementioned $11,000 a month is the money brought to the agency by the advertising brands that approach them, especially those that cannot afford large advertising campaigns.
Hoskinson AI Warning
In December 2023, Charles Hoskinson issued a gloomy prediction that AI would be widely leveraged by fraudsters in the future to defraud cryptocurrency holders. He reacted this way when he saw a fake video of himself (generated by an AI) promising users an ADA gift.
In the tweet, Hoskinson noted that he hopes AI will be so good that it will be almost impossible to tell fake from real.
