What is Venus (XVS)?
XVS is the native sign of Venus, which is decentralized money market for lenders and borrowers, powered by Binance Smart Chain. In addition, Venus is also synthetic stablecoin protocol which allows users to create VAI stablecoins. If you’re interested in the current price of the XVS, check out the Venus price chart above.
The Venus protocol is a fork of Compound and MakerDAO. It was initially operated by Binance. However, Venus is now ruled project “Swipe”, which also belongs to the Binance ecosystem. Swipe is a crypto-fiat gateway that allows people to use crypto assets as fiat money.
Like the money marketVenus allows users to borrow directly against collateral pledge with low transaction fees. To become a lender, a user must pool their assets into the Venus pool. In this case, creditors receive vTokens and are able to generate profits based on variable interest rates. Borrowers can receive overcollateralized loans from this pool by paying variable interest rates.
Additionally, users wishing to borrow money from Venus must first provide collateral to the network. They will then be able to borrow from Venus pools against collateral without going through a credit check.
Like a stablecoin protocolOn the other hand, Venus allows users to create VAI, a synthetic stablecoin pegged 1:1 to the US dollar. VAI stablecoins are based on BEP-20 token standard. However, unlike most stablecoins, the Venus protocol does not have an underlying fiat currency reserve to anchor VAI tokens. Instead, the peg is entirely dependent on the market and its collateral basket. However, there is Price adjustment module it can be used to change system parameters, disable anchoring, and change supply and demand dynamics to restore VAI stability if any problems occur.
How does Venus work?
The Venus crypto project uses Chainlink Price Oracles to provide accurate pricing information. oracles ensure that price information cannot be tampered with, thus protecting the platform from market manipulation attacks.
In addition, the Venus protocol is secure via Proof of Interest (PoSA), This is the consensus mechanism used by the BSC network. This is a modified version Proof of Stake (PoS)in which the identity of the validator acts as a stake rather than a stake that has a monetary value.
Options for using XVS tokens
