In 2017, the KNC team held Initial Coin Offering (ICO) during which he raised $60 million. During this event, KNC was priced at approximately $2, and approximately 75 million Kyber Network Crystal tokens were sold.
The official launch of the Kyber Network platform took place at the beginning of 2018. The asset performed well early on, as KNC’s January 9 stale price of exactly $6 was its all-time high at the time. The value of the asset continued to fluctuate frequently and even fell below $1 in the summer of 2018.
This trend continued for almost a year. However, by the second half of 2020, the asset began to show some growth. The highest recorded price of KNC that year was barely more than $2.
In April 2021, the network began the token migration process. The legacy coin, now known as KNC Legacy (KNCL), has been upgraded to the Kyber Network Crystal V2 dynamic and flexible crypto asset mode.

The first half of 2022 saw steady growth. In April 2022, the price of Kyber Network Crystal V2 jumped to $5.72, almost reaching the ATH set by the legacy token. However, it was greatly affected by the collapse of the cryptocurrency market in the summer. Although volatility remained high, the asset remained above $1 throughout the first half of 2022.
