Despite the enthusiasm, the influx caused significant congestion in early March, leaving the chain almost unusable by the end of the month. This period was described as “sobering” for all decentralized applications (dApps) on Solana, prompting rapid, or even rushed, development of scalable solutions that, under normal circumstances, would have taken an additional year to deploy.
