SEC to review latest changes to SBA investment program
Most of the meetings will focus on recent programmatic enhancements to the SBA’s investment program. Specifically, recent program enhancements will help expand access to capital and diversify the types of financing available to small businesses, startups, and fund managers across the U.S. SBICs are private investment funds licensed by the SBA’s investment program that make vital investments in American small businesses. They leverage SBA-guaranteed loans and their private capital to multiply their investment opportunities.
Insights will host these in-depth discussions from a representative of the SBA’s Fund Investment Program and a practitioner with expertise in the program’s regulatory framework. Other topics include an overview of recent program changes, the introduction of new types of SBA-guaranteed loans, and an assessment of the overall regulatory environment governing SBIC operations.
