Does Ripple CTO’s Tweet Hint at Future XRP Price?
This tweet from Schwartz sparked an enthusiastic response from multiple X/Twitter accounts. The answer given to many commentators by Ripple’s top executive was “5”, and many XRP enthusiasts preferred to interpret this as Schwartz making a prediction about the price of XRP reaching $5 in the future. Maybe it will once Ripple finally manages to win the case against the SEC.
When a major victory in this legal case was won last year and federal judge Analisa Torres ruled that sales of XRP on secondary markets do not qualify as sales of securities, XRP briefly spiked to the $0.71 level.
That same year, the SEC lost another major case; that had been initiated by Grayscale to force the regulator to pay serious attention to its presentation on converting its Bitcoin Trust into a spot Bitcoin ETF. This wish was fulfilled on January 11 of this year, when the Grayscale spot ETF was approved along with 10 others, including those issued by BlackRock, Ark Invest and Fidelity.
At the time of writing, XRP proudly occupies the position of the sixth largest cryptocurrency in terms of market capitalization value and is trading at $0.63214. In the last 24 hours, the price demonstrated a growth of 6.05%; however, it was quickly reduced to 4.91% by the drop that followed.
David Schwartz develops a trading robot
In a tweet posted on March 21, Ripple’s CTO informed the cryptocurrency community that it had successfully completed the development of a new robot for trading on centralized cryptocurrency exchanges.
David Schwartz revealed that the robot operates using an algorithm similar to that run by the XRP Ledger AMM.
For now, according to Schwartz, the bot is “really rough,” but he’s considering adding a GitLab link. The software engineer noted that it is too early to know if this robot will generate big profits. At the moment, he expects to be able to earn approximately 11% annually.
