Innovative entrepreneur Elon Musk has made another strong statement criticizing OpenAI and its flagship AI product ChatGPT.
His tweet sparked a heated discussion within the X community, where many crypto accounts participated. Among them was a prominent representative of the XRP army and a senior executive of the Shiba Inu team.
Elon Musk’s impressive AI warning
Elon Musk reminded the community of the incident between actress Scarlett Johansson and OpenAI. The X boss cited a tweet from a member of the Dogecoin and X teams who uses the pseudonym “DogeDesigner” (@cb_doge).

This X user tweeted that OpenAI basically cloned Scarlett Johansson’s voice and used it despite her refusal to license her voice to the company. OpenAI asked her to be one of the voices, called “Sky,” for its new artificial intelligence system. This choice was based on Johansson’s role as a female AI assistant in the film “Her” with Joaquin Phoenix. The actress threatened Sam Altman’s company with legal action.
@cb_doge concluded that if OpenAI did that to Scarlett Johansson, it may behave similarly with user data collected from phones on which ChatGPT will be installed. Presumably, he was referring to Apple devices. It was previously reported that Apple and OpenAI have teamed up to integrate the aforementioned AI product into Apple’s operating systems across all its devices.
SHIB and XRP communities react to Musk’s tweet
Big time XRP enthusiast @XRPcryptowolf suggested that Elon Musk should start creating “phone X”. Team SHIB Marketing Lead Lucie also responded in the comments, posting an animated GIF that says “exactly.”
In a tweet posted on Monday, Elon Musk threatened to ban Apple devices from all of his companies (even for visitors) if OpenAI’s ChatGPT is integrated with Apple devices.
Musk hopes OpenAI will steal user data from iPhones, Macs and other Apple devices and use it in a way that device owners will not like. He also criticized Apple for not being able to invent its own AI, but instead using Sam Altman’s product. However, Community Notes corrected Musk’s tweet, noting that Apple is launching its own AI product and is integrating ChatGPT into its devices.
