However, your X post does not contain good impressions about this new product that OpenAI considers revolutionary.
OpenAI releases ChatGPT-4o update
Recently, OpenAI announced the release of a new version of the GPT-4o model that powers ChatGPT. Here, the “o”, intentionally instead of a zero, means “omni”. This new version of GPT allows users to work with audio, video and text together in real time.
A recent OpenAI article about this update refers to GPT-4o as “a step towards much more natural human-computer interaction.” It allows users to input a combination of images, text, video and audio, and this new AI robot model can rearrange these components to produce a completely new mix of them.
The new model can also interact with users vocally, responding to them as if another human were communicating. Additionally, multiple devices with GPT-4o installed can now literally communicate with each other using the devices’ built-in speakers.
Markus disappointed with ChatGPT-4o
The co-creator of Dogecoin sat down to experiment with the new version of ChatGPT. Markus shared the results of his game with the new model, trying to create funny memes. Judging by the images and Markus’ comments, he is quite disappointed with the result. His tweet says that he first asked GPT-4o to make a funny meme and then to make it “funnier and funnier.”
Here is his full comment on the images produced by the AI robot, which clearly shows that Markus was not at all impressed: “it is, yes.” He ordered the show to first “make it funnier” and then “make it even funnier.” This was followed by “make it as fun as possible”, “make it 10 times funnier than you can be”, and finally, “make it the funniest thing anyone has ever seen”.
At the end of thread X, Markus admitted: “Anyway, I didn’t laugh.”
