In a tweet, the renowned Bitcoin historian @Pete_rizzo on X highlighted Satoshi’s historic statement on Bitcoin.
In a statement dated June 17, 2010 that would shape the future of the digital currency, Satoshi Nakamoto stated: “The nature of Bitcoin is such that once version 0.1 was released, the core design was set in stone. for the rest of his life.”
This statement underlined the immutability that would define Bitcoin, differentiating it from other digital and traditional currencies.

Bitcoin, the first and largest cryptocurrency, is currently worth $1.28 trillion by market capitalization, representing about half of the global market capitalization of $2.4 trillion. Currently, around 19.71 million BTC are in circulation, representing 94% of the coin’s maximum supply of 21 million.
