UNKJD Studios, the Solana-based game studio formerly known as Uncaged Studio, will rename its flagship Web3 mobile game – MonkeyLeague – to UNKJD Soccer, according to the latest information shared with Finbold.
The change comes as the company hopes to expand beyond mobile soccer gaming by forging broad partnerships with fashion, entertainment and sports brands while maintaining its foundation on three pillars: IP, gaming and Web3.
UNKJD Studios also announced plans to rapidly expand its intellectual property and offer consistent releases of new sports games every 6-8 months.
Maxim Bashkaev Vaysbord, former Azuki executive and new UNKJD brand director, expressed his confidence in the future of Web3 games, stating:

The UNKJD guarantees that the rebranding will not be a simple name change
Tal Friedman, CEO of UNKJD, explained that the rebranding from MonkeyLeague to UNKJD is not a simple name change but his company’s commitment to bringing fun and unique experiences to both Web2 and Web3 players. He added that this move is the first step in the journey “to redefine the next era of Web3 gaming.”
Raz Friedman, co-founder of the company, also expressed his confidence in the game and his enthusiasm for a future where “sports, strategy and role-playing games converge seamlessly.” He also explained that the game represents a platform through which players can choose to “go pro” and also commented on the general outlook of the gaming industry:

Finally, the studio explained that its roadmap for 2024 opens with a series of updates for its mobile game – focused in particular on the key market of Brazil – and that the team will soon begin to reveal a series of additional utilities for the game cryptocurrency – the MBS token. – and added that UNKJD will have its main global launch in the second half of 2024.
