Shytoshi Kusama, the pseudonymous lead developer of the Shiba Inu team, has once again changed his geolocation branding on social media platform Twitter/X.
According to this update, the Shiba Inu leader can now be found in El Salvador, the country that runs on Bitcoin and does not allow altcoins.
Shytoshi Kusama visits Bitcoin country
El Salvador is one more place in the recent chain of countries that Kusama has visited, according to the status of its X page.
The country’s president, Nayib Bukele, adopted the world’s flagship cryptocurrency, Bitcoin, as a national medium of exchange in 2021 and created his own BTC state wallet, mandatory for the local population. Recently, Bukele has been re-elected for a new presidential term.
It has the famous Bitcoin maximalist, Max Keizer, as an advisor on the BTC strategy, so the use of any altcoin is prohibited in El Salvador.
Does Kusama have a message for the SHIB army?
Over the past two weeks, Shytoshi Kusama’s geolocation status has seen many updates: Singapore, Dubai, Hong Kong, to name a few. Now it’s El Salvador, and the Shiba Inu community is at a loss trying to guess what this could mean, if it has any specific meaning.
X user @kuro_9696_9696, who noticed the location change to El Salvador, previously tweeted that he believes Shytoshi Kusama is trying to convey a message about SHIB, but this user has no idea what it could be. Another SHIB army member surmised that SHIB’s lead developer is simply working on Shibarium, hence these frequent trips.
Here is a possible solution to the Kusama conundrum.
When Kusama was spotted in Dubai earlier this year, @kuro_9696_9696 assumed that he might be making preparations to participate in Token2049, a major cryptocurrency-related event held in Dubai and Singapore each year. It is scheduled for April 18-19 in the United Arab Emirates and September 18-19 in Singapore.
However, the answer to this riddle may simply be that Shytoshi Kusama is not traveling anywhere, but simply changing his location tag manually to demonstrate how wide the SHIB ecosystem will reach in the future. If his location field continues to show new countries, this will probably prove to be true.
