The Shiba Inu ecosystem’s layer 2 Shibarium blockchain has seen a significant increase in activity on its network over the past 24 hours. Thus, according to data from Shibariumscan, the number of active accounts on the Shiba Inu network increased from 1,034 to 1,706 overnight, an increase of almost 65%. However, the number of new accounts increased by only four, meaning that the increase in activity was mainly due to old accounts, not new ones. In this context, daily transactions on the Shibarium network increased from 6,791 to 8,091.

Despite the exponential growth in new accounts, transactional activity within Shibarium has yet to return to its previous levels. Only 8,091 transactions were recorded within the Shiba Inu network during the previous day, a notable decrease compared to its peak of several million transactions per day at the beginning of the year.
Now the question arises: can the resurgence of former users eventually drive transactional activity on Shibarium to its all-time high levels? It’s worth keeping in mind that this is only a small fraction: 1.6% of the total 106,612 accounts registered on Shibarium.
While attention remains focused on Shibarium’s on-chain resurgence, speculation is rife about the potential impact of this growing online activity on the Shiba Inu ecosystem, particularly on the dynamics of the token market. Market participants should closely examine the performance charts of Shiba Inu (SHIB) and BONE, anticipating the ripple effects of this development.
