The Shiba Inu blockchain Shibarium recently underwent a major fork on December 5, and NOWNodes, which acts as an RPC node provider, dives into the notable transformations.
The update is aimed at amplifying scalability, cutting transaction costs and refining overall efficiency, indicating a possible increase in mass adoption of Shiba Inu innovation.
A substantial change is evident in the migration of Shibarium’s Puppynet testnet from the Goerli network to the Sepolia network. This transition is set to usher in improved transaction speeds and cost reductions, particularly advantageous for applications in decentralized finance.
The innovative token burning mechanism, initially under manual management, strategically decreases the supply of Shiba Inu (SHIB) tokens to potentially bolster their value. Future plans include transitioning to an automated system for greater efficiency and transparency.

Shibarium’s ongoing updates encompass improvements to transaction speeds, smarter smart contract functionalities, and an overall improved user experience.
In particular, NOWNodes takes on an important role in the Shiba Inu ecosystem, providing access to a wide range of full nodes, including Shibarium, thus ensuring a secure and stable connection to the RPC mainnet.
Looking ahead, as Shibarium developers anticipate milestones such as the launch of a new version of ShibaSwap and integrations with exchanges, the blockchain ecosystem, supported by NOWNodes, envisions an increasingly accessible and efficient platform for both investors and the SHIB developers.
