While talking about the future of the Shibarium blockchain, Lucie explained that it will go far beyond ShibaSwap and the money-making game Shiba Eternity, which launched in fall 2022.
Lucie named just two upcoming releases from the Shiba Inu team: the “super app” called Shibahub and the long-awaited Shib Metaverse. Lucie also mentioned that new projects are “excitedly joining the Shibarium ecosystem.” Aside from these projects having “big plans,” “rumors in the cryptocurrency space suggest more interesting launches are imminent,” according to Lucie’s blog post.
Lucie emphasized that while the realm of Shibarium is surrounded by the Shiba Eternity game, SHIB the Metaverse, and ShibaSwap DEX, “the real excitement lies in the mysteries that are yet to be unraveled.” A perfect future for Shibarium, according to Lucie, lies in a perfect and strong community that inspires thousands of new projects to build on top of Shibarium. They will be, Lucie emphasized, the ones who will “elevate the Shibarium to unprecedented levels.” She will also surprise the team and the community and capture their imagination.
Lucie added that “Shibarium’s road ahead is paved with innovation, unpredictability and the unbreakable spirit of its community.”
Shibarium Trading Volume Plummets
Despite the overall optimistic future expected by the Shiba Inu team, right now, Shibarium’s main profit metric is falling, according to the Shibariumscan Explorer. After falling to a four-week low of 2.46 million transactions per day, this metric has fallen further, reaching 1.33 million.
The total transaction count is still quite impressive, standing at 281,799,179 at the time of writing. In less than a week it has added 25.1 million transfers.
The number of connected wallets has increased by approximately 2,000 since January 5.
