The ridiculous statement attracted a lot of ridicule on social media, with some users jokingly suggesting that it could be Satoshi Nakamoto, the elusive creator of Bitcoin. Some commenters also joked that he was probably referring to cryptographic encryption rather than cryptocurrencies. Waka himself participated in the joke.
The rapper rose to prominence with the release of his single “O Let’s Do It” in 2009, which peaked at number 62 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Satoshi published his famous white paper on Bitcoin on October 31, 2008, paving the way for the creation of the cryptocurrency industry.
