Manta Network, a layer 2 blockchain developed by P0xeidon Labs, successfully mitigated a large-scale distributed denial of service (DDoS) attack.
The already resolved incident coincided with the debut of the network’s token on several major exchanges. Kenny Li, co-founder of P0xeidon Labs, reported on January 18 that the blockchain faced an unprecedented 135 million remote procedure call (RPC) requests.
Describing the event as “a very aggressive and timely attack,” Li assured that blockchain operations remained secure and that all funds were safe. However, she warned that communication between applications and the blockchain was temporarily hindered.
