With large maps and various game modes, players will spend hours exploring this enticing virtual world. The graphics are top-notch, with AI-enhanced facial expressions and crazy explosions everywhere, adding to the immersion of dramatic shootouts.
Players can choose from weapons such as a not-so-effective water pistol, a piston-style sniper rifle, and an absolutely deadly fully automatic machine gun. The different maps are also extremely varied, with plenty of high ground to take advantage of for those looking for a tactical advantage. Gameplay is lightning fast, with Hoolis able to zip around the maps on a skateboard or grab onto their paws and leap from cover to cover.

Shrapnel is a survival shooter of sorts that looks and feels like a battle royale, with the difference being that the goal is simply extraction rather than a fight to the death. The strategy element is key, as players can either cooperate with others to achieve their extraction goal, or compete on their own to try to escape the map.
To get started, players must first choose their loadout by selecting a variety of weapons and NFT-based items before aiming to complete the current mission, acquiring valuable items and resources they find and killing both human and NPC enemies. Between battles, players can mint and then sell their skins and NFT items, upgrade them, and more.
One of the most innovative things about Sharpnel is the player’s complex health system, which takes into account the player’s injuries, the pain they feel (which can affect the character’s movements), as well as hunger and thirst. Note that death comes with a huge price: losing all of your items.

Then there’s Murmur, a mechanic who specializes in using bombs and holograms to create explosive traps and trick enemies into walking right into them. Finally, Renegade is a tough guy who sports heavy armor and a powerful pump-action shotgun that allows him to get up close and personal with any enemy.
Therefore, players must carefully select their character according to which style suits their own skills. The gameplay sees players start as a lone adventurer and can undertake various missions, such as protecting a juice extraction factory or killing an almost unkillable enemy boss. Numerous upgrades can be found that have various benefits, such as fire-based skills, making battles more challenging. Players can team up with others they encounter during missions, forming groups of three to explore their surroundings and complete assigned tasks, defeating legions of enemies.
A compelling storyline and unique gameplay, combined with the three playable characters’ vastly different skill sets, make Superior an attractive option for TPS fans.
