Ripple CTO Surprises XRP and PEPE Communities with Cryptic Tweet
Cryptic posts by prominent figures in the crypto industry often generate waves of speculation among the community, and a mail made yesterday by Ripple CTO David Schwartz was no exception, garnering almost five hundred comments. The post in question is an image of a frog sitting on a water lily leaf, surrounded by water lily flowers. Opinions on the meaning behind the image are divided: XRP fans saw it as a positive sign for XRP, promising a “life-changing price” or “the quantum ‘leap’ or ‘kaboom’.” PEPE enthusiasts, in turn, deciphered the frog image as “a bullish flag for frog lovers everywhere.” The post also attracted the attention of another coin community, Pond Coin (PNDC), with many users displaying the coin’s logo and one of them welcoming Ripple’s CTO “on board” the PondX fan group.
Mysterious whale invests $444,000 in SHIB as Shiba Inu price eyes 118% rise
Data provided by the Etherscan explorer shows that yesterday a mysterious whale made a surprising great buy of SHIB tokens valued at $444,000. The number of meme tokens acquired by the investor for this sum amounts to 60 billion. Now, this anonymous figure holds 73.255 million SHIB worth $541,350 in his wallet. It is interesting to note that the investor achieved a fairly rapid rise, and the first transaction from him took place only a month ago. The timing of this large-scale transaction is also noteworthy as the SHIB community is abuzz with speculation about the meme token’s possible rally. Previously, analyst Ali Martínez highlighted that the TD Sequential indicator showed a buy signal on the SHIB weekly chart. Notably, the last two bullish signals of this indicator caused price increases of 118% and 71%, respectively.
Ripple v. SEC: here is the next important date
In a recent X post, defense attorney James K. Filan shared the next key date in the Ripple-SEC lawsuit. According to a scan of a document attached to Filan’s post, the parties to the lawsuit are expected to jointly propose a briefing timeline on solutions by Nov. 9, 2023. If the parties cannot agree on a timeline, they must Jointly request that the court establish a schedule of briefings. The change in the previous scheduling order was caused by Ripple’s recent victory, and its top executives, Brad Garlinghouse and Chris Larsen, saw the charges against them dismissed. In particular, according to the document, the final pre-trial conference on April 16, 2024 and the trial on April 23, 2024 are postponed “sine die.” Hogan explained the legal term, which translates from Latin as “dayless,” implying that procedures have been canceled with no plans to reschedule them.
