According to the latest market updates, two new crypto assets, moo deng (MOODENG) and hamster kombat (HMSTR), have seen some declines in the last 24 hours. While HMSTR had a rocky launch, MOODENG initially skyrocketed, but the meme token has since fallen 45.6% below its peak value.

The newly released meme token moo deng (MOODENG) was in the spotlight last week as it jumped an impressive 1,400% in its debut week. However, seven-day statistics now show MOODENG holding its gains at just 187%. Inspired by internet sensation Moo Deng, an adorable baby pygmy hippo from Thailand, the token became an instant hit.
Fast forward to today, MOODENG is down 19.8% against the US dollar with a current price of $0.1785, down 45.6% from its peak on September 28th when it hit $0.3387 per token. There are currently 50,046 MOODENG holders, and the top five wallets control 8.21% of the total supply of 989,968,154 coins.
Another token gaining attention is Hamster Kombat (HMSTR), which was originally added to Telegram as part of the Hamster Kombat game. Based on the TON blockchain, HMSTR opened trading at $0.009993 but has since fallen, hitting a new low of $0.004802 per coin today. HMSTR has decreased by more than 16% in the last 24 hours.
As of October 1, 2024, HMSTR is down 51.94% from its value on September 26. Notably, the top five wallets account for 93.95% of HMSTR’s total supply, which contrasts with MOODENG’s more distributed holdings. Both tokens have received a ton of attention on cryptocurrency aggregation sites such as coingecko.com and coinmarketcap.com, with Google Trends also reflecting a noticeable increase in interest over the past week.
