Bitcoin (BTC) rose to a record high above $106,000, driven by President-elect Donald Trump’s plans to create a strategic bitcoin reserve and rising institutional demand.
The global cryptocurrency market rebounded sharply from a sluggish start to the month as better-than-expected consumer inflation data fueled optimism about a third straight US Federal Reserve rate cut.
With the next FOMC decision scheduled for December 18, uncertainty remains regarding inflation pressures and the Federal Reserve’s path forward.
However, amid this economic uncertainty, some digital assets are showing strong momentum and positioning themselves to reach the coveted $25 billion market cap mark.
Sui Network (SUI)
Sui Network (SUI) currently has a market capitalization of $13.9 billion and would need an additional $11.1 billion to reach a market capitalization of $25 billion, a goal that appears increasingly within reach given its rapid growth and market dynamics.
The token is up 521% year to date and 175% in the fourth quarter, consistently outperforming most altcoins.
On-chain and derivatives data from CoinGlasswill further strengthen this bullish outlook. Sui derivatives trading volume rose 69.57% to $2.83 billion, with a long/short ratio exceeding 1.4 on platforms such as Binance and OKX, reflecting traders’ strong bias towards long positions.
Additionally, open interest remains stable at $820 million, indicating strong confidence from both retail and institutional investors.
Ecosystem growth and partnerships
The expansion of the Sui ecosystem has been another important factor in its effectiveness. A recent partnership with Franklin Templeton and Babylon Labs has opened up Bitcoin liquidity and expanded the capabilities of DeFi and Web3, attracting new participants to its network.
Wallet integration with Phantom and Backpack further increased accessibility and adoption, strengthening Sui’s position in the wider market.
Analysts noted that Sui’s price action reflects Solana’s (SOL) breakout in 2021, with SOL rising from single digits to an all-time high of $259.
Sui’s current consolidation after breaking through the March high resembles the Solana pattern before the surge, suggesting Sui may be on the verge of a similar parabolic move.
Adding to the optimism, Bitcoin’s historic rise to $106,000 has lifted sentiment in the crypto market, funneling capital into high-performing assets such as Su
With strong technical momentum, growing adoption and Bitcoin’s rally providing a favorable market backdrop, Sui appears well positioned to reach a $25 billion market cap by 2025.
Stellar Lumens (XLM)
Stellar Lumens (XLM) currently has a market capitalization of $12.87 billion and would need to add approximately $12 billion to reach the $25 billion mark. This goal appears increasingly within reach given the company’s strong technical outlook and growing market confidence.
Analysis of the weekly charts shows that XLM is approaching a critical breakout after a long-term downtrend that began back in 2017.
Historically, such breakouts have resulted in significant price gains, and with XLM already making significant gains from the $0.12 low, the momentum is clearly shifting in favor of the bulls.

A confirmed break above this resistance could take the price to $1.20 in the short term and $3 in the long term, following patterns seen in previous cycles.
Derivatives data points to bullish dominance
XLM derivatives data further strengthens this bullish trajectory and shows growing market interest. Trading volume rose 68.92% to $643.21 million, while open interest rose 3.52% to $219.44 million, indicating growing commitments from traders.
Long positions dominate on platforms such as Binance and OKX, with a long/short ratio of 2.11 and 1.41 respectively, indicating a strong upward trend in the market.
Another critical factor in XLM’s growth is its correlation with Ripple (XRP), which has historically impacted Stellar’s performance. As Ripple gains momentum with key developments such as the launch of RLUSD, the potential rise of XRP to $5 or higher could serve as a major catalyst for XLM.
Thanks to strong technical indicators and market catalysts, Stellar has the potential to rise above $1 and reach a $25 billion market cap by 2025.
However, both Sui and Stellar are well positioned to potentially reach the $25 billion market cap milestone, fueled by strong ecosystem growth, strategic partnerships, and growing adoption on their respective networks.
However, given the inherent volatility of the cryptocurrency market, traders and investors should exercise caution and closely monitor developing trends, technical indicators and key developments to effectively manage potential risks.
